Harlem – Langston Hughes
This is one of the classic poems that I read in school. It’s short and sweet, and invokes a curiosity in the reader of what happens to dreams. Usually, I would have to interpret what the poet is trying to say in their poems, but this one lets the reader decide.
Curious and intrigued.
Style: Brief, Meaningful, some imagery
Voice: Strong, Inspiring
The style is clear and simple. I understood everything the poet was conveying. The poem is short but it felt like it meant a lot more than the number of words given. A dream deferred.
I like the format of the poem, short and to the point.
