Good story, took me a couple of re-reads in the final page to figure out what was going on. I wasn’t phased by the twist of the husband being a werewolf, but instead I noted the twist of the reverse werewolf. Rather than being a man that turns into a beast, it’s a beast that turns into a man. I wonder how the author came up with that; if I had to ask anything, I’d ask them about that. They must’ve thought of the wolf family or the werewolf first, but which?
Aside from that, I’d trim down on the talk about the moon. It’s nice, but anybody who’s read a myth in the past century would pick up on it long before the description ends. Who’s your audience? If it’s children, they might not catch the twist at the end at all. If it’s adults, they’ll catch the werewolf twist too quickly.
Overall, nice.
