For me personally I make plenty of friends. If I had to choose one friend that I feel close to it would probably be my friend named Jared. He was once my neighbor and a good friend. We have known each other since elementary school. We even went to the same middle school. To me he was the big brother I never had. He loved creating and playing rock music. We were like brothers growing up. We laughed, played with each other, and yes we even got into fights from time to time. People get into fights with their friends yes but you never know if it could be a step to building a closer bond. I enjoyed the music he created, it even gave me my passion for enjoying rock music. Whenever there were problems we talked about with each other and helped the other get back on their feet. I can not imagine the number of times we smiled just hanging out with each other. Of course this was during the time I had trouble speaking up for myself before I reached high school, so it felt nice hanging out with someone like him. In a way he was like a bridge of me opening myself up to others.

One day he told me he was moving to California with family. I was not too sure about the details but I was sure it had to involve his family. I still remember how sad I was but looking back now I still remember the impression he made on me. The impression to “keep moving forward”. Ever Since he left middle school it took some time for me to recover, eventually I kept moving forward and hoped that one day I would get in contact with him soon. To this day I actually managed to get in contact with him and just chatting with him makes me happy.
