The chapter started off well, I figured that the narrator was seeing his/her mother appear in the bridge or across. However, after reading more it got confusing to me because why would his brother, Maynard, would treat the narrator in such a way? Also, what does the shell even mean at the end? I don’t know but I struggled with this story.
