Memoir writing has been enjoyable. I feel the prompts and what we’re allowed to write have been very interesting. I specifically loved adding on to my other writings. This gives me the chance to expand on my thoughts more than before. I feel with this class, creative writing, I am able to write a lot more freely than my other English classes. Which is refreshing. Be able to write whatever your heart tells you to.

One negative I can think of, is running out of things to talk about. I feel with creative writing, you can get writer’s block a lot more easily. For me, it happened when we had to write our second memoir. I wasn’t quite sure what to do. I didn’t know if I should go and start a new memoir, build on my last one, or write about something completely unrelated. I took an easy way out sadly, by adding on from my previous memoir. I hope to learn how to tap into my creative side more.
