I liked Patchett’s story, she is very detailed in every storyline she gave, making sure you can imagine her words like a movie; one of the perks I love about reading detailed books. She goes on to introduce the scene then I’m guessing the narrator and her sister. Then backtracks to high school and a girl named Lucy, which I understand how the whole chapter ties together. It was just confusing to keep up with all the side tracks, especially if the reader is stuck on the narrator sharing her own life and not another person’s issues. goes to question why did Patchett turn the story over to Lucy instead of just “featuring” her? Will the rest of the chapters be based on Lucy as well?
