Shaunna Lampkin, Meet My Nails

I’ve always had an interest in doing nails especially in high school, but with all the activities I had going on I never had the time to practice. My senior year was when the pandemic started and I found myself with a lot more free time, so like everyone else in the world I did a bit of online shopping. I got lots of nail supplies and started to practice on my self. Granted with most crafts you start out with a mess but eventually with practice you get better.

I realized that nails was a craft that I enjoyed. A lot and my friends and family started to notice and eventually I started sharing my craft with them. Practicing on them was the step that pushed me to go to nail school. It was not just because I could get paid but it was also the fact that I enjoyed it so much.

When I started college I also started nail school part time. So far I passes my first exam and got my temporary license. So I created my nail business profile on instagram and its growing slowly but I found a creative outlet which excites me.

I love getting my nails done and I am always searching for a place to get them done. Your work is so beautiful and I love people who have picked up such great skills during the quarantine. Your work is absolutely fabulous and you should be incredibly proud. I wanted to know, if you had always wanted to do this or it was just completely spontaneous.

Nice that you took one positive thing you did during your spare time in quarantine and decided to turn it to a good career.

Did you also had an in-class project that also unlocked your creativity as well?

Hello Shaunna, I just want to say what amazing work and talent you have. I see how passionate you are and how your striving to be uniquely you. Doing my nails is not really up my alley but its people like you who make me want to do it. You look like you would give me a good experience unlike the ones that I encountered before by other people.
