It’s been really peaceful outside lately, with the weather being nice and chilly. My friends and I decided to go to Prospect Park yesterday since we haven’t been there for a while. We got off of G train, Subway station and walked around through Prospect Park, with no sense of direction. The park was full of life, there were a lot of people jogging, walking, biking, listening to music. People came with family members, kids and couples etc.. Everyone was going by their beautiful evening. There was a nice breeze during that time of the day so everyone was just enjoying themselves some outside quality time with the people they care about. We decided to take our masks for a little bit walking through the trees to breathe in some fresh air and a random biker saw us take our mask off for a little bit and he kindly told us to put our masks back on. So we listened to the guy because he isn’t wrong and everyone should have their masks on no matter the place. There were a lot of people laughing, talking, and chilling on the grass field. Since the park is huge, there were tons of people and there was enough space for everyone to social distance and enjoy some outside time. There were some people BBQing around the park, some put on a show in front of the boathouse, there was music, games and kids playing sports like soccer, football etc.. We also had our USB speaker with us and we were playing tunes while we explored Prospect Park. While we walked there was a part where it smelled really bad and there were all the garbage disposals were located. As time passed a lot of people started leaving the park around 8 pm to 8:30 because it’s already dark by then. We were there walking around the water bodies, the trees and the roads inside the park that stretches from one side of the park to another. There were a couple of bridges as well and one of them had a small waterfall running through it, so we crossed over the fence and sat on the rocks by the waterfall for some time before we started walking back towards the exit of the park. The exit was still far from where we were, so we just walked until we found a street outside of the park and moved from there to find a place to eat and head home right after.
