My experience with poem writing was alright, when we were assigned this assignment I wasn’t looking forward to it because I don’t think I’m a good poem writer. I’m more of a story writer type of person. When writing my 4 poems I oddly didn’t struggle, I just expressed some things that wanted to be released but in a poetic way. I often re-read them in order to see if they made sense to me and the reader. The feedback I got from my Cohort also helped me. Overall it was a better experience than I thought and it makes me want to practice more of it.
