Luz Mery Felipe, Chin’s Poem

I watched the video twice and all I could say was “Wow, this is so true”. This poem shows what people of color have been dealing with from centuries and even though things haven’t been easy for them, they keep going and fight for others as well as  what they think is right. I loved how fearless Staceyann was, I admire and applaud how she stood up not just for the black community but for those whose voices have been taken away and repressed in the past. I couldn’t take my eyes off of my computer, everything about this poem was perfect, the word choice was great and her tone and faces had me mesmerized, every word that came out of her mouth showed how much she cares for her people and how she will always have their back.
