I really enjoyed the first chapter of Truth and Beauty. it was very easy to understand the author’s story. in the beginning she as telling us about her plan and where she was headed. She then, began to talk about her and Lucy’s story and where she knew her from.  She told us all about Lucy and how people acted with her, and also what was going on with. She had knew so much about her but Lucy didn’t really know her at all.  She even told how well she was with her teacher’s and every parent night she would read poems out loud.  with this Chapter Ann was able to express how they both were and what kind of friendship they had.
