Writing this type of genre was a lot more interesting and easier than writing in a traditional genre. I felt it was easier to express myself. I like that even though I had researched about the problem and the topic I was able to give my own opinion and my experience. I also loved being able to use “you” instead of “one” which I have used incorrectly many times before. The letter Wollstonecraft helped because you can see she knew what she was talking about and the way she ague  her letter convinced me to write a letter.

“First, it must start with our city governors, by forcing companies to hire women and level out their workforce. Also, making mandatory for companies to work with other woman own subcontractors or vendors in the private sector. Moreover, The Office of Federal Programs which has under its jurisdiction approximately 17 percent of the federal contracts, should enforce the Executive Order 11246 that calls for nondiscrimination in employment by contractor and subcontractors. Likewise, the OFCCP should demand contractor to have a plan and follow it, stating how they will improve their number of female employees. Additionally, provide accessible training and education in the various trades to women. Lastly, encourage female high school students to pursue careers in engineering degrees or building trades during Higher Education open houses.”

I believe writing about the solutions to this problem was probably the hardest part, since there is not a simple solution. In a democracy one cannot impose the wage for everybody. So, coming out with reasonable and doable solutions was not easy. The way overcame this, was doing research about possible solutions other had proposed before.

If I had additional 24hr I would interview another females in construction, because I had given data and I feel that testimonies moves feelings and might help me convince the reader faster.
