The model I’ll be choosing is Mary Wollstonecraft, because she stood up for the rights of women. She wrote a dedication letter describing and criticizing many points that go against the rights of women. She also mentions equal opportunity for women such as saying that men, a husband should also be responsible as much as women for their child. Also, she mentions education, civil, and political rights as well.
I think this specific genre will help me on my argument because an equal opportunity for both men and women will be my main point and I believe the letter that Mary Wollstonecraft wrote has numerous points that I can use to back my argument and to prove to the opposition my points and like I stated that I will also get the opinion of my audience that are supporting my idea and the ideas of those who are against my argument because I can reply to that person, for example when we write a counterclaim we favor the opposition point but then we convert it into our idea by reversing it towards our point and then we give reasons, so I would use the same situation as in counterclaim in my writing.
I would describe my audience as that 2 groups one that is against my argument and one that is in favor of my argument. For the group that is against my argument, I would present my argument as the main point and let them decide if my argument is right, however because of my details and the reasons which I found on Mary Wollstonecraft’s dedicator letter I do not think that they would give half enough details to argue back.
