Initially, upon reading the assignment I decided to write a blog post about the different factors that manifest themselves into psychopathy in youth. I thought this would be effective in conveying the research and would allow for me to insert visuals. As I began writing the post, I started having second thoughts on whether I wanted to present my information in this form. The blog post was starting to seem very two-dimensional. While it did present the necessary information, I feel as though this topic is engaging, so I began to write a podcast transcript instead. 

So far, writing this podcast transcript has been going well. I am using the information from the annotated bibliography regarding different factors that affect psychopathy in order to examine different examples of what may be antisocial disorders in youth. One thing I thought was important to include was an interview. In this, I interview a peer whose younger sibling seems to exhibit some of these symptoms. The episode being written examines his behavior against the research that was conducted in the bibliography to question, does this young elementary school child have a conduct or antisocial disorder? This was inspired by the Ira Glass interview that I listened to for the initial assignment. Hearing him speak and interview the woman about her son really pulled you in and had you engage with the content. 

One thing that I do need to do before handing in the final transcript is possibly look for an additional source of research that shows other factors contributing to psychopathy and antisocial disorders in youth and adolescents. I think that another source or research study will add credibility to the argument and examination of the child being spoken about in the episode. Besides that, everything is going smoothly and should be ready to be handed in on Wednesday.
