  1. She is writing this letter to fight for the rights of women. She wants equal rights for both men and women. She wants the recipient to stop holding the woman down. 

2. After reading this letter, the DC that Wollstonecraft is part of is feminism. She wants both male and females to have the same rights and say. And the recipient appears to be outside clearly women do not have the same rights in France. She wrote this letter for reason and she even stated that is not to get anything for her own self.
