Part 1: With my time in this class comes to an end, I realized that my personal writing skills have improved as the grades in the assignments were able to project that. It was definitely a different experience since this is the first class that I am taking fully-online. I thought that it was going to be confusing and time-consuming but in reality, it was fun to see all the assignments that we had to do and receive feedback on where we can improve. Not only that but there were also a lot of things that I’ve learned from taking this class, for example, our first assignment talked about finding a DC, at first I was not familiar with it at all but as more discussions were posted it helped me to write my assignment.
of course, I always loved to write whether if it was writing notes, journaling, annotating, or even for research purposes. With all the feedback that I’ve received this semester, whether if it was our professor or even when we were doing peer-review, it was always useful for me to look at and grow from this since it is brought to my attention. It helps me improve my work and even watch out for countless and various mistakes that don’t help out my writing and may make my writing sound weird or just silly mistakes that can be easily made.
Part 2: The componing piece that I have struggled with would be the first one that we had to work on. Having the choice to either write a speech or a letter was really tricky to choose between because I was interested in both. I really wanted to do both since I had many ideas for both the speech and the letter. Two small pieces that I enjoyed writing for this semester were Micro-Activity 6 and 8. Micro-Activity #6 allowed us to see what the text was portraying and it’s the main point. the questions in this activity really opened my eyes as to answer these questions to the best of my knowledge and gave me tips to help my writing for assignment #1 since the writings were used as a template.
while micro-activity 8 was more of a reflection of the U1 assignment. And it was very calming since it just asked about how we feel about the assignment. Like I have mentioned in the activity it was way better than writing an essay and much more fun than an essay since we were able to pick out our choice of a topic instead of writing about a topic that we were assigned to do.
