When I was doing Annotated Bibliography research, I found it is difficult to find the sources. We need to find three sources and all these sources must be of three distinct genres or media. For example, I used one journal article, one newspaper article, and one academic article in my research paper. I have to avoid using Google when looking for sources, because some of the information from Google is not credible. When I searched for the sources, I found a poem. It speaks my mind perfectly, but the author of this poem is not a famous poet. I am not sure whether the poem is credible or not so I gave up using this source. I found an authoritative book in the City Tech Library database, but this book is too long; it’s about 100,000 words, which makes it very difficult for me to read in a short time. So I only read the chapters I need in detail. When I write a summary, I can’t summarize what the entire book says, but I can summarize what this chapter says. I didn’t know about annotated bibliography before. I finished my annotated bibliography article for the first time through the weekly agendas and with the help of the professor. I learned the annotated bibliography template which has three parts. The first part is an introduction. The second part consists of three entries. Each entry has citation, summary, reflection, and quotation of source. The last part is the conclusion. I used to write essays using only one type of source, but now I have learned to use multiple types of sources to prove my point in different ways.

Office Hours: 1 to 2 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation through email each week.
