Quick Comments
- Go to my Discussion Question about research and respond to this prompt: What library online database are you most likely to use? Can you see yourself using these databases instead of Google? Why or why not?
Micro-Activity #13: Drafting the Annotations
- Write a post in which you submit the following:
- Draft your first annotation for the annotated bibliography.
- The annotation has four parts, which is outlined in the Annotated Bibliography Breakdown: citation, summary, reflection, and at least one quotation.
- Post the annotation under Student Work: Unit 2 Work and title it Full Name, Micro-Activity #13.
- Continue researching and looking for sources. Find two additional sources for your annotated bibliography. Important: all three sources (the one that you upload today and the two you are looking for now) must be of three distinct genres or media; for example, you may have one poem, one journal article, and one TED Talk, or one newspaper article, one movie review, and one scientific article, etc. There is a list of genres on the U2 Writing Assignment page.

Micro-Activity #14: Continue Drafting the Annotations
- Write a post in which you do the following:
- Draft the next two annotations for the annotated bibliography.
- The annotation has four parts, which is outlined in the Annotated Bibliography Breakdown: citation, summary, reflection, and at least one quotation.
- Post the annotation under Student Work: Unit 2 Work and title it Full Name, Micro-Activity #14.
- Check the giant note at the end of this post in order to earn 50 points and receive a peer review partner!
- Work on the other parts of your annotated bibliography–the Introduction and Conclusion (you do not need to submit these in Micro-Activity #14). Refer to the Annotated Bibliography Breakdown to see what is needed in the Annotated Bibliography, and use the Annotated Bibliography Template to draft your final draft of the annotated bibliography. Both can be found in the Course Profile section.
PLEASE NOTE:
In order to receive feedback from a peer reviewer
(and earn the 50 first draft points) you MUST do the following by EOD

- Email me when you’ve posted Micro-Activity #14, with the following in the subject line: Full Name, Annotated Bibliography First Draft.
- In the body of the email, copy and paste the links to Micro-Activity #13 AND #14.
- On Thursday, 10/22, I’ll email those who followed the above directions with a list that gives them the name of their partner(s). I’ll also send a Peer Review Sheet for U2.
- Complete the Peer Review Sheet for your Peer Review Partner’s Unit 2 assignment by the end of the day on Friday, 10/23. Email the sheet to me and your partner!
If you don’t email me by EOD Wednesday, you won’t earn the 50 first draft points OR receive a peer review partner; however, you can still turn in the final draft on Monday, 10/26!
