Notes Police Brutality:

https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-01846-z
  • White Officers were more likely to use a gun than black officers in black neighborhoods.
  •  Black mens 2.5 times more likely than white men to be killed by police.
  • 1,000 civilians are killed each year by law enforcement officers in the US.
  • 8 minutes and 46 seconds Derek Chauvin had his knee on George Floyd’s neck.
  • Police stopped and used force against black people more than other racial groups.

Notes Human Rights Violation:

https://www.dosomething.org/us/facts/11-facts-about-human-rights-violations
  • There 246 million child laborers worldwide
  • In the Middle East and North Africa have been killed, Beaten and arrested by police for expressing their opinions.
  • 27 million people who are currently enslaved in the human trafficking.

The two topics I choose are police brutality and human rights violation. In the first article of police brutality I learned many things that I didn’t know, one of the things I learned from that article is that black mens 2.5 times more likely than white men to be killed by police. I found this fact interesting because it’s proven through data how much white polices target black people. Another interesting fact I learned from this article 1,000 civilians are killed each year by law enforcement officers in the US. I found this interesting because I never knew people lose their lives to the law enforcements. The article of human rights violation I learned some interesting facts, 27 million people who enslaved human trafficking I found this intesting because thats alot of people who are being violated of their human rights.

Questions:

Where do they do human trafficking the most?

What are other examples of human trafficking?

What is the solution to police brutality?

Around what age are black men being mostly killed by police?
