I have chosen a speech model over a letter model. If I were to write a letter on this topic, it would be on a small crowd, unlike a speech with a broad audience. I want to discuss the concerns and challenges of people in the DC of the battle for racial equality. It will keep the viewer focused and understand the key challenge in the speech. Writing a speech will help make my point even better, as my primary goal is to make the listener aware of the actual situation of the dilemma and to find a solution. This particular genre could support me with my claim, because I’m referring to a lot of people. The nice thing about speeches is that you have the voices of many people. With a speech, you can make a difference, and you can encourage many people to take action on your subject. My audience would be comprised of would be people who are anti-BLM, The Government, the president and the world. My audience will perceive me differently, genuinely reflecting about racial equality would have a major effect about my audience. Especially about what’s going on in the world right now, so many riots and the number of people killed only because of the system.

When marches rage around the globe against police brutality, institutional oppression, and inequality, now is a tremendous moment for our society to focus on what we can do to improve Black lives and all people of color within our societies and across the globe. In order to do this, we must be more than “not racist;” all must battle to be consciously anti-racist. The international civil rights campaign, Black Lives Matter, is in the forefront of this call for change. These three terms are a cry to abolish white racism, to end racially motivated brutality, and to repair a flawed culture under which Black people suffer more directly because of the colour of their skin. This drive to address a dysfunctional and racially-targeted infrastructure extends to many different sources, such as schools, employment, work openings, health care, and the most talked about today-police and incarceration.
