The creators of Antigone in Ferguson wanted to attract people who would not ordinarily attend a production of a Greek play because they wanted to show how it connects to modern society issues. They also decided to ask members of the community to participate in. the play to make the play more engaging. this helped viewers feel more involved and connected. I believe that the reason they included police force was to give the play an authority point of view and give the viewer the different side of the actual occurrence. Watching the play Antigone in Ferguson did change my perspective of the play because it showed the connection with the current events happening in todays day and age, also before watching this play I used to get bored and unmoved my other plays but this one managed to keep me entertained.

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 1 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
