The term civil disobedience means to the refusal to obey certain laws, demands, and commands that the government may place. It may also be know as nonviolent resistance. I feel that Antigone did engage in civil disobedience because she chose not to follow what Creon’s law of not giving Polynices a proper burial, instead she carried out a proper burial even though she knew the risk she was taking and her sister even told her it wasn’t a smart idea.
