Both texts can be listed as autobiographical narratives or memoirs. They share personal stories and experiences, which helps readers to gain a deeper understanding of the authorās lives and the challenges they faced. Also talk about the living and human condition during that setting .Reading helped them be more aware of slavery and racism ,empowering the transformation of the power of education .
