While reading “Shitty First Drafts”, I come to a realization that the first draft of all types of writing are “shitty”. It is impossible to get a perfect first draft. This gave me confidence and relief because I was scared to write a terrible first draft. The assignments in class also helped me into shaping my educational narrative. It was overall very helpful. Something I hope to improve on the next paper is the word choices I choose when writing. I feel like sometimes it’s not formal enough. I enjoyed writing this paper. It was less challenging compared to any paper I’ve written because I didn’t have to do any research as it came from a part of my life. All and all, I enjoyed the readings assigned in this unit and look forward to challenge myself in the future.
