In all three of Jiangs, Douglass, and Malcolm x‘s writing pieces, they all write about their experiences with education. Personal anecdotes are added by all to create a sense of connection between the reader and the writer. Their targeted audience is not the same as they come from different ethnic backgrounds and upbringings. I personally relate mostly to Jiangs story as i am a south asian women who emanates from an immigrant family. I understand what its relish to kind of fend for yourself when you dont have anyone who is able to avail you in certain circumstances. Albeit I do not relate to Douglas to some degree, I do sympathize with him and accede with his values.
