A moment that I found useful from “how to read like a writer” was when the author stated, “You are reading to see how something was constructed so that you can construct something similar yourself”. As a reader it would be important to try to find how the intention of written piece was constructed because, every author has a different intention in their writing. This idea appeals to me because as a reader it is interesting to know how something was constructed with the objective in mind. With the writer following along with objective in mind it allows the reader to have a clearer understanding of the purpose of the writing.
