In “How to Read Like a Writer” from Mike Bunn the technique I found to be most interesting is when reading is to ” know the authorās purpose for this piece of writing?” “How to Read Like a Writer”(Mike Bunn Pg76). The reason why this technique is important is because understanding the purpose of the writing will allow the reader to understand if the author did a good job on conveying the message. If the author was able to convey their message smoothly then the reader can go ahead and fixate on how the author went about doing this like word choice, grammar and article format. If the author wasn’t able to deliver their message the reader can find out why it was delivered effectively like maybe the author was straying away from the purpose and focusing on a other point. Or perhaps his supportive points might of gotten the writer to a new point and the author never got back to the main point.
