“allegory of the cave” by plato is about his beliefs in nature more than personal knowledge. In the allegory there are people who are chained inside the cave, they lived their entire lives that way. These people didn’t have access to the outside world they only had each other. During the story you read how one person takes the adventure out to discover the outside world. When the person returned back and told the rest about what he saw they were interested and made their imagination grow. The significants of the cave in the story is compared to what people hear from each other and what they hear on the outside.
