As I read Mike Bunn’s essay, “How to Read Like a Writer” it brought up important factors which I want to try out. Mike Bunn states in his essay, “You are reading to learn about writing.” This quote in particular is interesting because not only are you reading for the context you are trying to understand why the author included certain choices in their writing. For example, the author chose to include certain texts and words. Instead of just reading, you want to question the choices that the author made. As a reader, I want to try using this technique.
