More sanding and more cutting…. That is the theme of the week. Although it may not be the most exiting part of this assembly it is one of the most important. As previously mentioned, the maker of this model left a lot to guess work. I think we have done a good job with cutting out the pieces to scale. we did make a minor mistake with cutting a piece that we should have not; however it was a fixable mistake and we were able to move on. Each piece have to be cut and the sanded for a smooth and tight fit. There are parts that will be inserted into the hull; therefore each cut piece must be exact. With so many parts that needs to be cut and sanded, it allowed us to give each team member a task, which will speed up production.
