Dino – Week 15 Journal

Things are coming together with the submarine. We managed to get the DC motor and accessories mounted and the finishing touches on the  hull were completed the week prior. With the bulk of the physical assembly completed, it’s time to move on to coding the servo motors via the arduino interface. Luckily, the Arduino comes with a servo example and we played around with it for a bit testing out different configurations. We have yet to decide exactly what behavior we want the sub to exhibit (i.e. dive for 10 seconds, neutral plane for 10 seconds, left/right, etc.) but we will work on fine tuning the little details this week as we put on the finishing touches {hopefully}.
