This week we were able to get some of the measurements that we needed to continue with our project. We were able to get a reading of the power coming out of the board in the quad-rotor with a electrical tester. With it we found out that when we press the buttons for the extra accessories that board gives about 2 volts to that port in the board for about 1 sec to just turn the accessory on, we then found that that ports labeled lights on the board are giving out a constant 4 volts of power. We plan to power our Arduino with that power source and use the other ports as a way to send a signal to start recording data that the censors will send. We still need to test how much weight the rotor can carry and still have its full rang of motion. We plan to use rigging shackles tied to the bottom to help begin our test.

Nice, so it seems as though your project is coming along pretty smoothly, but what kind of camera will you guys be using to record the footage. And will it be using wires or go bluetooth?
We were going to use the camera addition that we bought with the quad rotor. It recods the video onto a micro SD card attached to the cammer that can be uplaoded using a USB that we got with it.
