Journal #8

So I was able to go to Chris Stapleton’s presentation in the V building and wow. This man can talk! He caught my attention really well and I actually stood the whole hour listening to him because I was really interested. I found the slides he used to be pretty organized and his enthusiasm really got to me. He is probably the only Creative Venture Catalyst I know of at this moment and I think at the start of the presentation when he said he was a CVC, it was a word he made up, but he liked to call himself this. Out of the all the talking, explaining, and asking questions for the whole hour, what I got out of him was that he wanted people like us to change the way we look at learning. The way I see it, he wants our learning to go beyond with experimental learning as he likes to call it. It seems that he also wants us to not limit our imagination and think beyond with technology. My memory isn’t too good, but this is pretty much all I remember and got from his presentation.
