Homework for Tuesday:

1. Get your City Tech email working, and join our OpenLab course!
This is really, really important. If you don’t have your email yet, go to the Welcome Center and get it figured out. Without your email, you will miss important correspondence for this class, and probably others. You’ll need it for the duration of your time at City Tech. May as well do it and get it over with now!

2. Grammar Handout
This was passed out during class. If you missed class, you are still responsible for completing this handout. You can locate it here.

3. “My Life in the 3rd POV”
As amended in class, a 250 word creative writing assignment in which you write about an important moment in your life (any important moment—completely up to you) from the third person point of view. As in, “Professor Ostiz just wrote this blog post so that her students have a reminder about their homework for the weekend.” Think about that paragraph right before the break in “Superman and Me”—why does Alexie start referring to himself in the third person? Why might this be a useful exercise for you when thinking about your own life?
