For the new spring season, the communications team and director had asked me to create a “First Day of Spring” creative for the social media platforms. This is the first project I have been assigned with the new director and so I sent a first draft of a post before the deadline.
My first design had a bright/vibrant color palette with bright water colored flowers framing the text in the center. The text within the square frame of flowers included a title and a small text description. After review, they expressed that the theme should be changed for a more minimalistic style, with a more soft, pastel color scheme. From there, I went back in to begin from the start. I switched to a softer color scheme, with less type and text. The flowers were switched out to less detailed, line art with soft colors. This design was favored and it was posted the first day of spring.
