I enjoyed my brief visit and appreciated the Winery’s unique experience. The guide was very informative and the winemaker was looking like he was having fun at work. The best part was the open barrel demonstration where the winemaker was digging his hands and pushing the “lees” into the barrel to make more contact with wine.
The tasting was amazing and from my groups prospective, we decided to blend the red wines as they would be less complicated. Hopefully all will work out well as we go further into learning how to make a wine from the new world.
Ben, totally agreed Mark and his assistants looked like they were having a wonderful time at work. They were very enthused about getting us informed on the craft that they pride themselves on.
I truly enjoyed the wine visit
Hi Ben
I very much agree, the team of Red-hook Winery showed such enthusiasm. Mark kept the class fun, interesting and entertaining. I learned a lot for someone who has never enjoyed the taste of wine, now I can say I have a more appreciation of wine, just finding the right one that I works for me will take some time, but getting there.. I’m more of a sweet wine drinker…white wines preferably.
