This file should be saved according to the following naming convention. i.e., 1162_Midterm_LastName.ai (Adobe Illustrator).

  • Create an 11 x 17 File with half-inch guides around all sides. Create a new layer and place your poster. Dim it to 50 or 60% to see what you are drawing.
  • Trace over the template on the drawing layer to create CLOSED shapes which will be ultimately filled with color.
  • During Week 7 fill your closed shapes with color. (gradients, blend modes, etc.) This will be demonstrated in class. Save it in the correct naming convention and email it to your folder.
