Use the pen tool (p) and click on the canvas. Hold shift and click on the canvas again. Click ESC on the keyboard. Now there is a line/ path.

Use the pen tool or click “p” on the keyboard. Click and drag up as you hold shift, do not let go until you are satisfied with the angle. Then hold shift and click on the right side of the last point made and drag down as you hold shift.

When making lines go from one point to another, the pen tool is the first option for this. Then with that tool click the two end points to create a straight line that doesn’t include any breakage and has two points
