AXIOM JUILLIRAD CONCERT

My group and I would be attending this concert on the 10th of October. We are looking forward to enjoy every bit of it. Its suppose to be a concert solely dedicated to the opening of their season led by American conductor and Juilliard faculty member  Jeffrey Milarsky. After researching a bit about Mr. Milarsky, i realize that he is known in New York city. He is also the founding music director of AXIOM. I hope to get to know more about his music leadership skills and every aspect of the music.

Beethoven Encounters Concert October 3, 2015

Good afternoon all,

Our group (Iryna Terletska, Anita Karki and Glenda Savary) will be attending the concert
“Beethoven Encounters: Opus 18 String Quarters Part 1”
on October 3, 2015 at 14:30
at Lincoln Center
10 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY
http://www.lincolncenter.org/show/beethoven-encounters-opus-18-string-quartets-part-1

I am looking forward to hearing Beethoven Quarters (Opus 18: nos 6, 3 and 2). After doing some research about creation of these masterpieces, I learn that Beethoven had to work very hard on composing it, since a hundred other works were already projected by Mozart and Haydn prior to that. Beethoven introduces his own of structural complication. The first, the use of small motives that bind material together. The second, a very great expansion of the materials even by comparison with Haydn’s last quarter. And the third, a new importance given to the coda which will take on monumental proportions in his maturity.

This little video gave me some guidance of what to expect on October 3rd, 2015.

For my classmates enjoy!

Daniel’s personal post

Axiom is led by music director Jeffrey Milarsky. AXIOM is grounded in Juilliard’s curriculum. Students receive a credit in chamber music for performing in the ensemble, and during any four-year period, AXIOM members will have the opportunity to perform works. This group has established itself as a leading ensemble in New York City’s contemporary music scene with performances throughout Lincoln Center. I expect to see their professionalism, to hear fantastic sounds, and to imagine a scene by hearing them performing.
