Course Overview

THEME: Researching The Transformation of New York City in the 20th Century and the Impact of this Transformation on the City’s Population

COURSE METHODOLOGY: Research using Primary Sources to understand the city. Primary Sources in the course include the city itself (its buildings, cultural institutions, neighborhoods, streets, public spaces, monuments…). Using primary sources, students will build their knowledge of society and their place in it.
