I think this is the best picture that our group took today. When we shoot a portrait, we have to consider the lighting and the emotion of the model. Broad light is when the model’s face is slightly turned away from centre, and the side of the face which is toward the camera (is broader) is in the light; shot lighting is where the shadowed side of the face is closest to the camera. In a classic basic portrait set up, the main light is a source of illumination lightens on the face; the fill light is any source of illumination that fills in areas of shadow.
