LL#3 Lighting Direction

This medium shot photo was taken at a low angle with direct side light and the camera’s ISO set to 100 and manual. I like this photo the most because of the contrast between the flowers and the background. The original background was white but the bright light and the dark room made the flower’ leaves, stems, and petals more dramatic. It creates an emotional and sad feeling because it’s drooping downwards. Also, because the flowers were drooping, I was forced to take the photo vertically which made avoiding the vase in the composition more difficult.

Lovely. the high contrast light combined with the drooping flowers really do feel sad.
