The Product: Our designs have pioneered the development of the modern power supply, with such firsts as the first programmable power supply, the first bipolar (4-quadrant) power supply, and the concept of the wide-band operational power supply. The Position: Mechanical Inspector (Growth Opportunity!)
NOTE: This is a full-time position but will consider part-time (25 hours and up) for individual currently completing degree requirements.
The Description: Inspection of incoming material relating to mechanical parts such as screw, nuts, lugs, front panels, chassis, fan assemblies, etc… You will also work with the Sheet Metal Department by inspecting the plating and/or paint finishes of the power supply enclosures manufactured by the department. You will also perform in-process inspection and/or first article inspection of mechanical parts manufactured within KEPCO such as chassis, front panel, bracket, cover, etc… This position also requires you to properly document and process the acceptance of incoming material and the rejection of non-conforming material, as well as maintaining the non-conforming material holding area. You will understand basic AutoCad and Inventor for purpose of programming the Punch Press. Excellent communication skills will be required so that you may communicate defects to the Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing Departments. As a member of the Quality Assurance Department, you will also be involved in ISO 9001 initiatives such as documentation of procedures and work instructions. Mechanical Engineering Technology is required. You should also be proficient in using and reading a caliper, understanding of metal specifications, blueprint reading and have basic computer literacy (Word, spreadsheets, email). May also assist in Sheet Metal Shop in machine operations and CNC programming. Majors: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technologies & Technicians
Rate: $20 per hour

About the Position – Component Engineer
This position involves the maintenance of Kepco’s internal component specification system as well as testing/evaluating electronic components. You will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of electronic drawing files and parts retrieval system (component library) for components, and database entry, as well as the evaluation of new components and associated vendors. You will be an integral team member in working on obsolete parts and replacements, and research of components needed for the design and manufacture of the product. You will communicate with all internal departments and with outside part sources.
Skill Set
You may have a solid foundation in electronics with extensive knowledge of both electrical and mechanical components related to electronic products. Experience with use of oscilloscopes and multimeters a plus. AutoCad experience. Prior experience with part database creation and/or maintenance is desirable and a BS/BT in Electronics/Mechatronics/Mechanical (with course work in electronics) Engineering/Technology . To be successful in this position, strong organizational and communication skills are required and you must have a demonstrated record in a willingness to work with a team and learn from others. Of course, computer literacy in spreadsheets, database understanding related software.
Rate: $60k per year
