We are accepting abstracts now through September 6, 2021

The ASEE Middle Atlantic Conference Committee is pleased to invite faculty, researchers, engineers, students, and practitioners from industry and government agencies to present their latest accomplishments and innovations in Engineering Education. This year’s Fall Conference will be hosted virtually by the ASEE Middle Atlantic Section.

Engineers must keep evolving, and so do engineering schools; we must broaden our students’ education. Further efforts are required to integrate the critical interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary elements of science and engineering into the curriculum and, equally important, the context of engineering’s practice and role in a global, multicultural, and technology-driven society.
The theme for this year’s Fall conference is “Socio-Cultural Challenges and Impacts in Engineering Education.” However, abstracts are solicited for papers in all topics of interest to engineering educators, including, but not limited to:

ā€¢ Integrating Culture in Engineering Education
ā€¢ Ethics in Engineering Education
ā€¢ Multiā€Disciplinary Engineering
ā€¢ Onlineā€Learning
ā€¢ Service and Projectā€Based Learning
ā€¢ Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)
ā€¢ Increasing Diversity in Engineering
ā€¢ Novel pedagogical approaches to teaching engineering
ā€¢ Incorporating technologies in engineering education
ā€¢ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Engineering Education
ā€¢ Creating a diverse and inclusive educational environment
ā€¢ Entrepreneurship Education/Mentoring
ā€¢ Innovations in Teaching Engineering
ā€¢ Senior Capstone Design Projects
ā€¢ Improving Critical Thinking
ā€¢ K-12 Engineering Education
ā€¢ Addressing Covid-19 challenges
ā€¢ Addressing grand challenges through engineering

Abstracts should be 250-500 words, and all submissions must follow the guidelines prescribed in the Author’s Kit. If you are interested in serving as a session chair or offering a workshop, please contact Dr. Ben Mendoza.
