In the article “schools are killing curiosity” Wendy Berline states that. There are children in school that have multiple questions about certain topics. That they would love to talk about, but school’s are telling them not to speak about those questions.

They are children that are curious and want to call out certain point’s, but once the teacher’s realize what the student’s are trying to say. They switch the topic to something as the weather. The article states “curious children do better.” Meaning that students don’t ask question sit down like a slave, and do what they do in the school so they can do better.

It states in paragraph 4 “Kindergarten schools are the curious student’s that performed the best.” But it also come down to the school’s that are located and the ranking of it. If the school is excellent has a high ranking the student’s would be focused and not be distracted at all.

But most teacher’s had a expectation on the student’s to concentrate, on being focused and have a representation of behaving a correct way. Because the school they attended to. In paragraph 12 it states that ““Teacher’s teach young children not to ask questions.” And this is what causes student’s when they get older too slowly not participate anymore.

In paragraph 9 it stated “ There were two-hours stretches in the fifth grade (year 6) where 10 and 11 year olds. Failed to ask their teacher single question.” Paragraph 12 it states “ American researchers in 2013 were found to be less curious”. And these are children that are born curious, when these student’s enter the school they need to shut their mouth. Because the teacher’s have a lot of topics that they need to teach.

In paragraph 20 it stated. “Children should be prompted and encouraged to ask questions even though that can be challenging for the teachers. Thers’s is not enough time in schools for creativity and following up on curiosity.”
