Part 2 – Summary

In the interview “Special Edition with Andrew Ross Sorkin: AI and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella,” Andrew Ross Sorkin interviewed Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella on AI. Nadella mentions how AI can be like a personal tutor for students. He mentions how. Technology is like a bicycle for the mind. But with AI it is like a steam engine for our minds. Nadella mentions how humans will still need to do critical thinking, but AI can be there as a tutor to boost that critical thinking. Nadella mentions how education can seem very intimidating these. days, but AI can help take away that fear of learning something new. Reasoning, critical thinking, and creativity will all still be needed as a student. AI is just here to boost these parts of our minds.to help us grow smarter.

Part 3 – Reflection

As a current college student in the middle of this evolving world of AI I find many of the things Nadella said to be very interesting. I picked this video because Nadella explained how AI can change our education from a unique perspective. This helped me realize that AI really is just a tool and not a cheat sheet. Nadella said how AI is like a steam engine for our minds. I find this myself to be very true. As I start going into assignments, I feel more confident knowing if I get stuck or have a question, I have a tool with an instant answer. I think the improvement of AI can start leading to more intelligent generations of students. If AI can help boost my confidence, then it can help other students too. I think as AI evolves more, we will start to see education and the students evolve as well.

Part 4 – Rhetorical Analysis

This video was an NBC News interview with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Andrew Ross Sorkin. This interview was effective because Nadella was able to answer many questions that other students may have had about AI. Not only was he able to answer questions but he even added on to how Ai can help. This interview was intended for all audiences. Nadella was able to give his own perspective on AI and was able to give others a different way of looking at AI. Andrew Ross Sorkin is an American journalist and author. He is a financial columnist for The New York Times and a co-anchor of CNBC’s Squawk Box. He is also the founder and editor of Deal Book, a financial news service published by The New York Times. Satya Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992 and worked his way up to become CEO in 2014. NBC news is the first and oldest major broadcast network in the United States. They have been around since 1926 and are a reliable source.

Part 5- Notable Quotables

“What if all the students in the world can have an Ai student? What if AN AI tutor can engage a student and really help them get the concepts.”? (Nadella)

“I think about it if I was to have this AI tutor, I would have been a better student, I would have been more engaged, I would have been more curious, I would have wanted to learn more because sort of the fear of learning goes away.” (Nadella)

“Computers are like bicycles for the mind. We now have an upgrade. We now have a steam engine for the mind.” (Nadella)

  1. Hi Savion, I really like your reflection. You really connected it to yourself. But I would also like to say that there’s some punctuation mistakes in the summary and the reflection section. Other than that, I think this is great.
