I agree with Berliner that schools kill curiosity, I remember when I was in middle school I was around 15 in 9th grade we were in history class. The topic was ancient Egypt I found myself very enthusiastic and eager to raise my hand, practically lauding myself at the chance to ask a question. I wanted to know why Egypt is depicted so white washed in the media, especially Cleopatra who often portrayed as white in movies. My teacher miss Louis took one look at me and said “Not now Kayla questions at the end” by the time she finished her lesson the whole class was worn out and board. Then came the question segment I waited so long I even forgot what I was going to ask .if Miss Louis took time to answer my question that would keep the rest of the students engaged making other students want to ask questions also.
