The article Schools Kill Curiosity by Wendy Berliner is about the education system failing kids by discouraging their curiosity. Berliner claims that students start asking less questions as they get older. By the 5th grade students barely ask questions in class. She also learned that hands on activities allows students to have fun while learning. In the nursery school, Ilminster Ave. Their students excelled when they were given regular objects. like tin cans, cardboard boxes, old phones, and plumbing supplies, and paired with their imagination, it was a great substitute for toys. Based on her research, she also believes that teachers should try to make their students ask questions. Even though it can be challenging for the teacher, it helps students understand their lessons better.
