After we decided on what was our performance and location we immediately figured there were going to be a lot of people in attendance with many people becoming interactive with us. We came to this expectation due to the fact that we were in a high volume area with many attraction nearby. we also knew since most of the people were either residents or tourists, it would catch their attention and bring them in. We thought we would give people walking by zines as well as inform them about the performance.
What we didn’t expect was to get bombarded with questions before we even set up and get in trouble with the pops. This completely changed our outcome of the performance. We became a little timid on handing out zines due to the pops telling us not to harass oncoming people or else we would have to leave.
