I have known Wikipedia since I was in Jr. High School and haven’t used it much. When I started high school all my English teachers would say avoid Wikipedia because of its unreliable sources. And up to this day i still haven’t read much from Wikipedia. If i do end up in the website during my search i would just read the first few paragraphs and then go off to another topic. I don’t mean to say that i don’t trust Wikipedia, to me reading it is kind of boring. I prefer reading Dummies books.

It’s not that it’s boring, it’s more of an insight on what information you are looking for. I agree it’s unreliable, but at the same time it helps to have an idea of what information you will be searching. Think of it as an “am I closer to the meaning” idea, rather than just to skim the first few paragraphs and “on to the next”. If that’s the case, then why open the site in the first place?!? Although it’s not reliable, it becomes helpful for those lazy times when we need a quick reminder to get our memory running on the subject!
